How one idea—and the drive to build it better—
changed outdoor living forever.
StruXure’s story is rooted in the vision and drive of our founder, Scott Selzer. A former teacher with a passion for building, Scott spent his spare time remodeling homes—specializing in basements, decks, and improved outdoor living. When he couldn’t find an adjustable pergola system that met his standards for strength, durability, and design, he built his own.
Word spread quickly about Scott’s innovative pivoting-louver system, and in 2009 he launched Adjustable Patio Covers—the first company to bring an adjustable pergola to the East Coast. As demand grew, so did the business, evolving into a full-fledged manufacturer with a new name: Arcadia Building Products. In 2018, the brand became StruXure—and a new standard for outdoor living was born. Today, with manufacturing facilities on both coasts, a nationwide dealer network, and a commitment to continuous innovation, StruXure is proud to be the leader in customizable, automated outdoor living systems. Backed by the AZEK Company since December 2021, we’re building on Scott’s original vision—bringing the indoors out with products that redefine outdoor living.
