What do you do with a 7,000 square-foot rooftop terrace that is more often used for holding planters than parties? You add a Pergola X to make it the event space dreams are made of. The Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, the city’s only AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star hotel, upon recommendation from a neighboring hotel executive who’d had success working with StruXure of Georgia on his own Pergola X addition, engaged with StruXure to improve the functionality and connectivity of the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta’s Fifth Floor Terrace. One of two outdoor event spaces at the Hotel, the Fifth Floor Terrace overlooks beautiful Midtown Atlanta and was not only in need of an upgrade that would match the modern look of other renovations taking place at the Hotel, but one that would change the way the terrace could be used. By adding a contemporary louvered structure, with louvers that work with the sun’s angles and close completely during inclement weather, the Hotel could increase its use of the terrace with a newfound ability to host events year round. What is now StruXure’s largest pergola installation in Georgia, covering 4,000 square feet, it has created the perfect setting for holding outdoor weddings, parties and other special events. The Hotel even used it to celebrate the anniversary of its own Bar Margot. And perhaps the biggest sign of a happy client, StruXure of Georgia was re-commissioned to come up with a solution to cover an unsightly wall on the property—innovation at its best.
