Just in time for IBS 2019, StruXure Outdoor unveils the Vanish, a universally compatible component, the first of its kind, that will hide any motorized screen system within a StruXure pergola.
Las Vegas, NV, February 19, 2019 –(PR.com)– StruXure Outdoor is pleased to announce its latest product offering, the StruXureVanish™ a concealed module within their select pergolas, specifically designed to hold any retractable motorized screen system on the market. Now, instead of attaching screens to the outside of a StruXure pergola system, the Vanish offers a streamlined solution for keeping the luxury outdoor brand’s structures looking sleek and refined, as intended. The Vanish has been designed to work with all models of retractable screens, including those made by Phantom Screens, Progressive Screens, Fenetex, Rainier, and Marygrove Roll Screens, to name a few, making it the first universally compatible component of its kind in the world.
As StruXure Outdoor’s founder and CEO, Scott Selzer, notes, “We have partnered with several high-end motorized screen manufacturers over the years, in order to accommodate clients in need of screened protection for their structures; however, the application of hoods or recess kits to our structures, in plain view, obstructs our signature clean fabrication. Selzer further explains, “We wanted to come up with a way to make the screens vanish when they aren’t in use, and, as with all of our products, when we can’t find a solution on the market, we create one.”
While there are pergola manufacturers in Europe who also produce their own screens and may have found ways to conceal their screens within their structures, their products can’t and don’t work with other screen systems. Therefore, StruXure’s design is truly unique. They have essentially designed a beam with a void inside, measured to hold motorized screen systems of varying sizes, without compromising the beam’s strength. Similarly, space has been designed into the structure’s posts to hold other mechanical equipment. So instead of the screens retracting into a visible screen hood mounted onto the beam, the screens will vanish into the beam. Says Selzer, “As a manufacturing business, we are super excited to be able to partner with any motorized screen manufacturer for the benefit of our mutual clients. Simultaneously we are improving the function of our structures, while supporting the mission of screen manufacturers, like Phantom, who are selling disappearing screen systems.”
The Vanish (see video here) will be unveiled at the 2019 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) taking place in Las Vegas, February 19-21, at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). It will be StruXure Outdoor’s first time exhibiting at IBS. Attendees are encouraged to stop by StruXure’s booth (SU3220), located in LVCC’s South Hall, Upper Level, for a personal introduction to the Vanish and StruXure’s other products.
